From Penrith, take Salkeld Road heading North, then turn right onto the B6413 and continue through the villages of Lazonby and Kirkoswald at the T junction turn right signposted Renick, when entering the village of Renwick turn left and then turn right onto the dead end road signposted Outhwaite, then continue straight on up the hardcore track.
