Background
I grew up on a Mushroom Farm at Crofton, near Thursby. On finishing school, I initially worked for Alan Bowe as a secretary before leaving to undertake my degree to become a Chartered Surveyor. I have worked in Shropshire and Lancashire over the past 10 years but was keen to return home to Cumbria.

I am a Council Member of the Lancashire Agricultural Valuers Association and was Probationer representative in 2009 and 2010.

Graham Iles

Graham who qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1984 and has over 35 years experience in residential and commercial agency and valuations and specialises in residential property sales. He also carries out professional valuations for a wide range of purposes including sale and purchase, taxation, probate and matrimonial.

Graham lives just outside Kendal with his family and enjoys rock climbing and playing the guitar.  Graham is a Director of Residential Sales [South Lakes] and is based at the Kendal.

Piers Morton

Having left school with ‘A’ levels back in 1984, Piers worked in the car sales industry for over 15 years,  changed roles working as a business manager for Coca Cola covering Cumbria and the North East followed by 6 years with Tiffen Estate Agents as their Valuer.  Joining H&H King, Piers worked initially as Senior Valuer dealing with our residential valuations plus specialist work which includes matrimonial and probate work but most recently has been promoted to Branch Manager.

Almost famous! Piers has had two appearances on BBC One programme “Homes under the Hammer” in which he undertook valuations for Martin and Lucy when they visited Cumbria.

Julia Aglionby

Julia is a Chartered Surveyor and Agricultural Valuer who advises on uplands and common land matters and is the Executive Director of the Foundation for Common Land.

She is a consultant with H&H Land & Estates and a Professor in Practice at the University of Cumbria. Till June 2019 she served on Natural England’s Board and is an active Trustee of a Care Farm in Carlisle 

Julia has previously been director of the National Centre for the Uplands and a non-executive director of Cumbria Rural Enterprise Agency. She has worked as an environmental economist for the Overseas Development Administration in Indonesia.

Julia lives in Cumbria on a farm run as a social enterprise focusing on local food and agricultural education.
